Appearance:
Miss Sarah Barnes is a 5'3" tall girl (add an extra 3 inches if she's wearing heels), and weighs around 110 pounds. She has long, blonde hair that goes past her shoulders that's usually wavy a the ends, but she'll straigten it when she feels like it. Like most blonde girls, she comes with blue eyes, and you can always find her smiling or smirking in some way.
When she's out and about the city, Sarah can usually be found wearing stylish clothes and make up, unless she's somewhere where she needs to run and run fast. In which case, she wears street clothes, usually black ones since most of her business with any clients she has for her hacking business is dealt with at night. She also wears black rectangular glasses on occasion and wears her hair in a ponytail when she's concentrating on something.
Personality:
Taught from an early age about the simple nature of right and wrong, Sarah grew up into a moralistic person with a bit of an edge, something that's very rare to find in a city like New York.
Loyal to her friends, Sarah's always been there for them. If they needed a place to sleep after a fight with a boyfriend, she took the couch while they took the bed. Someone's drunk? She calls a cab for them and takes them home. If a very close friend is being harrassed at a party, she'll step in. She's always liked heroes growing up, and she's made it a point to model her life after her heroes.
Now here's the edge part.
If she gives the bed to her crying friend while she sleeps on the couch, she'll make a remark like "Sleep tight, and try not to get mascara on my pillow. But all in all, sleep tight."
While she's supporting her drunk guy friend into the taxi cab that would take him home, she'll catch a whiff of his breath and say "Your mouth smells like Jack Daniels had a Harvard frat party in there. How much did it cost for you to get that kind of booze?"
Not much witty banter would be exchanged if a friend was sexually harrassed--She'd be the one tackling the guy while calling him obscene names.
If you're one of Sarah's enemies, on the other hand, you'll get the same treatment she gives to her friends. Only with more disdain and disgust. She'll tolerate you for as long as she is mentally able, but if you're the last straw that breaks her camel's back, she'll fight you--Verbally or physically if you lay your hands on her.
All in all, she's a normal 21 year old woman living in New York City.

History:
Sarah Elisabeth Barnes was born on a cold December night, a week before Christmas, to a Caroline and Bruce Barnes--a stay at home mother and an FBI agent. To the couple, it was a perfect Christmas present to be had.
Bruce was always a hard-working agent in the bureau. He wasn't a field man. He was the one behind the scenes; sitting behind a computer all day, deciphering coded messages, tracking suspects through phones and laptops--He was a hacker for the government, trying to catch the bad guys in a safe way so he can be able to come home to his wife and child every night alive.
Unfortunetly, not much can be said about Caroline according to Sarah's memory. The mother died when her daughter was just two in a car accident caused by a drunk driver. The girl was too young to remember the woman, but as she grew up, she always felt as if something was missing in her life.
Caroline's death left a big hole in Bruce's heart. The only other woman he ever loved in his life would be his little girl.
Growing up with her father was one of the greatest joys Sarah had as a child. Bruce was a great storyteller, and would tell her tales like Robin Hood; King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. He was the one that would attend all the imaginary tea parties with her stuffed animals, make her special lunches for school, and comfort her when she scraped her knee at the playground.
Sarah's father was Sarah's hero.
In school, Sarah started to do well at an early age, but it was always hard for her to focus on one thing at a time. At first, it wasn't a problem. Bruce just thought she didn't do well in some subjects as well as the others. By the time junior high came around, it became a problem when her grades started slipping. That was when Sarah was diagnosed with ADD. After being put on medication, Sarah did fine.
The grades that seemed to help find Sarah's niche in high school were found in two subjects--The Arts and Computer Science. A member of the drama club, the young girl was a skilled actress and lead technician for some of her school plays.
Though Bruce became proud of his daughter's accomplishments in music and art, what really brought him closer to his little girl was her intelligence in computers.
After graduation, Sarah was old enough and responsible enough to actually try and help her father with some of his work in the FBI while she went to college at NYU, majoring in Theatre Arts and minoring in Computers. The long nights of looking though criminals emails and listening to phone conversations spoken by drug dealers made fond memories between the pair.
One night, when she was 19, after Sarah came home from rehearsal, she found her father's body on the floor next to his computers and case files.
Bruce Barnes had died of a heart attack, according to autopsy.
Two weeks after the funeral, Sarah dropped out of college, unsure of what to do with her life.
A year later, she's a waitress at a fancy restaraunt, trying to work hard to pay bills. The life of a waitress is a tiresome job, one that results in no excitement whatsoever. It just seemed so lifeless. The only good thing that seemed to happen on the job was listening in on the gossip. She's overheard girlfriends talking to their secret lovers while their boyfriends were in the bathroom making out with the hostess. On occasion, she's caught the busboy stealing the jewel encrusted silver put on display and hiding it in his pocket. Almost every night, she's heard disgusting remarks about her coworkers made by businessmen that would get them arrested for sexual harassment. Even to her. One time, she kicked a guy under the table so hard that he bled because he made an...interesting suggestion to her.
But one night, she overheard a different piece of conversation while heading out to the back to take out the trash. A plot to kill.
Thus originated Sarah's hacking days.
After a week of research, and relearning every trick in the book her father taught her, Sarah was able to learn everything she needed to know about this plot. Apparently, an employee at one of the thriving banks in New York had discovered the CEO was stealing money from clients accounts for his own personal gain. After being discovered, the employee went into hiding, giving Sarah just enough time to send the right information to the police to have the CEO arrested. She called them using a computerized voice to disguise her own, and when asked who would be tipping them off with this kind of info, she merely smiled, replied "Robin Hood", and hung up the phone.
The next day, Sarah was watching the news about the CEO being arrested. "Robin Hood", the alias she used in homage to her--and her father's--favorite hero, was mentioned briefly as to who saved the life of a bank teller who's whole world was turned upside down.
Sarah continued these pursuits for another year, hacking into computers and camera feeds, saving lives and using names like "Sir Galahad" and "The Count of Monte Cristo" in her anonymity to give information to the police.
And so far, it's given her a new outlook on life...Something that she's thankful for.
Sample RP:
It had been a long night.
After she took out a pizza from the oven and a Cherry Coke from the fridge, Sarah walked into the living room of her apartment looking very disheveled. Her white dress shirt was halfway undone, showing a white tank underneath, and a red wine stain on the sleev. Strands of blonde hair fell from her ponytail as a sign of a good 8 hour work shift put in. The nerves in her feet ached from walking back and forth all day.
"Stupid, no good, orthopedic shoes," she grunted with pain as she walked toward the couch, pizza and soda in hand.
Sighing with relief as she plopped down on the couch, planting her feet on the coffee table in front of her, Sarah reached for the remote beside her, and turned on the 10 o'clock news broadcast.
"Coming up next," the newscaster announced. "NYPD arrested CEO of New York Finances, Daryll Parkadson, for theft of property in the first degree and conspiracy to murder one of his employees."
Taking a bite of pepperoni pizza with a smile, the young woman watched the report with interest.
"Parkadson will begin trial for his jail sentence in a month--"
"Just in a month?" she commented with disgust. "Just throw his ass in prison for the rest of his life!"
"--But the interesting part about this investigation was that this was tipped off by someone who only gave the name Robin Hood."
An innocent smirk showed up on Sarah's lips at the mention of the name she had given to the police...
"More on the story later tonight. Stay tuned."
Oh yeah.
It had been a very long night.
